Nail The It-Girl Jewelry Trends for Less than $50 (almost)!!

I don't know about you but some of my favorite people that I draw fashion inspo from are Hailey, Emily, Kourtney & Bella! Lately I've been loving the layering of dainty necklaces. Also loving the resurgence of the gold hoop and other gold statement earrings. Recreating these celebrity-approved styles is much easier than you think. I've rounded up several fun options, most of them are less than $50!

Starting with earrings - it's so fun to mix and match! My favorite combo is a gold hoop paired with a small stud. Or If you're daring - mix different sized hoops! I would recommend a small hoop in the second hole if you go with a big one in the front! Secondly - it's so fun to mix and match chokers & necklaces of different lengths. Emily and Hailey are great at this!

Small, dainty jewelry at the beach can be sexy! I am OBSESSED with the thin body chain and if these ladies below approve of it then I do as well!

Which of these looks is your favorite? Shop some of my picks below! Also - don't forget to enter my Instagram Giveaway for my merchandise page! One lucky winner will get a t-shirt, hat, and crop top (my personal favorite). xoxo, Meredith

Effortless Everyday Look // Spring 2017

Hi loves! I am still working on my NYC recap post but wanted to share with you the look I threw together yesterday morning to wear to work. I had just gotten back from NYC the night before and was exhausted. Luckily I had some staples in my closet (plus a few new things that made their way back to Savannah in my suitcase) that made getting dressed yesterday a breeze.

Look Breakdown:

I have been loving this oversized striped button-up top from Zara. It looks great tucked in our out. The back is a bit longer than the front, which looks cool when you wear it untucked. Most of the time I prefer to tuck, that way you show off your waistline. I am a huge fan of these Hudson jeans. They are a dark wash and have a raw edge hem which is cool. I just purchased these Gianvito Rossi heels and OMG they are so comfortable. The heel isn't too tall, which provides for the ultimate comfort level. I invested in these shoes because I knew they would look great with jeans and also shorts for summer. I accessorized with mirrored sunnies, black and gold belt and my YSL bag.

What is your go-to outfit when you need to look polished but are short on time? I have linked exact clothing/accessories details below but I've also included several  LOOK FOR LESS options.

Gucci Inspired Patched Denim Jacket

After months of pondering & admiring, I finally ordered all of my patches and just recently finished my creation last week. I'm not really one who does a lot of DIY projects but I knew this would be so easy to recreate. I purchased iron-on patches and then used permanent fabric glue to get a good seam around the edges of the patches. I am linking all of the patches below! I am obsessed with animals (truly obsessed & love them so much) so I knew that I wanted my jacket to be animal-themed. Red roses are classic so I knew they would look great as well. I have a white rose on the front and a fox on the side that you can't see in these pictures. If you decided to create your own jacket, tag me! I'd love to see your creations! I'm definitely going to be adding some more patches... probably some butterflies and a few more floral patches.

Also - I think I've said this before on Snapchat or Instagram but I'm launching a t-shirt collection VERY SOON! I can't wait to share them with you, it's something I've been thinking about for a while and am really looking forward to getting the store set up on my website. So stay tuned my loves. The last pic of this post features one of the designs I've create - the "Élégant as f**k tee," because everything is classier in French. Be sure to subscribe so you get an email when the collection launches!

OUTFIT DETAILS:   Shoes & Skirt - Zara

Spring Edit - Corset + Leopard

Zara is one of my go-to places for trendy fashion at a great price point. Zara quickly interprets high fashions seen on the runway and makes affordable, ready-to-wear versions for normal people. When I saw this corseted tee, I thought it would be the perfect addition to my Spring wardrobe. This top is an update to my favorite white tee, and the corset trend is not going anywhere fast. Who What Wear named corsets one of "The Only 5 Trends You Need for 2017." (article here). For less than $25, this is a great way to jump into the trend. Wear it with high-waisted denim and mules for another street-smart look. I was also drawn to the mustard color of this faux leather a-line skirt from Zara as well. I don't like to go overboard with spring colors because here in Savannah, those types of floral prints & patterns are everywhere and aren't really my style. This color makes a bold statement on its own. I've paired the outfit with these Sam Edelman leopard booties that I've owned for over 2.5 years. Leopard shoes are a wardrobe staple, one worth investing in. These exact ones aren't for sale any longer, but I've linked a similar pair at the end of the post. I think the skirt would also look cool with a band tee or distressed tee and a pair of stiletto heels. What are some of the new trends you're looking forward to? Personally I don't always follow trends style for style, I just know what I like when I see it. I try to stick to pieces that I know I can mix in with wardrobe staples that I already own!

Model Behavior - a Q&A with Savannah Delane

Hi guys! I'm so excited to share this post with you. The beautiful Savannah Delane Morris has been kind enough to do a Q&A session for me and my readers. Thanks so much, Savannah!

1. What does your workout routine consist of?

  •  I love cardio! Nothing beats going on a nice run or jog. I always include some kind of cardio into my workout, and then add Pilates (for lengthening and toning my muscles). I have always been super active, and always involved in sports- so I find it super easy to play sports for a fun workout. Whether its tennis, volleyball, basketball, or just running- they all make for an awesome workout.

2.  Do you diet or just watch what you eat? What are your normal meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner?

  •   I NEVER diet, but I do like to keep in mind what I eat. Pizza is my favorite food, but I know that moderation is key. I drink a lot of smoothies in the morning to make sure I am getting my fruits and veggies in. I also don’t eat any pork or beef. I stick to chicken or seafood for a leaner protein.

3. What are your top 3 favorite beauty products?

  •   I love natural products - some of my favorites right now are:

    1. Coconut Oil- I use this as an all-natural moisturizer for my body. I use it every day to keep my skin soft and moisturized.  As for my face, I swear by exposed skin care. It helps keep my face clear year-round.

    2. Not Your Mothers Sea Salt Spray - when I'm having a bad hair day, I just spray a little in my hair and it creates perfect beach waves.

    3. Body Blendz Coffee Scrub - the best exfoliant I have ever used. Leaves my body feeling so rejuvenated and fresh!

4. The modeling industry has a lot to do with your outside appearance - how do you maintain your confidence if you don't book a job?

  • In the modeling industry, i have come to realize that you can't take anything personal. You're not going to book every job, and that's okay.

5. What is your favorite modeling gig you've done to date?

  • I am thankful for every job i have ever booked, but one of my favorites so far was shooting for a Belk commercial. Commercials are always so much fun, and it actually ended up being aired during the Super Bowl and March Madness. I also really loved walking for New York Bridal Week!

6. Favorite place you've gotten to travel to for work?

  • There is no other place like New York City!

7. Favorite workout move?

  • Ballet Beautiful! Every move in this workout series is so effective, and targets every single muscle.

8. What kind of tool do you use to curl your hair?

  • Curling wand! It is so easy, and great for when I'm in a hurry.

9. What does your typical day look like?

  • When I’m not busy traveling, a typical day for me would begin by waking up around 9 (I love to sleep in), and then going on a nice jog to get my day started. I go to school during some of the weekday at Kennesaw State University, where I major in Business. In between classes, I try to make time for the gym and time to spend with my friends. I also have two puppies that are very time consuming.  I usually take them to the park in the afternoons. I then end my days with a nice healthy dinner (sometimes pizza), and then ballet beautiful while watching TV!
