Makeup Monday - All About The Eyes

Today's Makeup Monday post is focusing on my favorite eye look. I prefer a clean, neutral eye for on a daily basis. For evenings or when I want to look more glam, I will typically add on some false lashes and use more highlighter on my brow bone and inner corner of the eyes. Here are my favorite eye products..... let me know what some of your favorites are!

Eye Primer - I always start out with an eye primer, mainly because my lids tend to get oily throughout the day and the primer controls that really well. My favorite is the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

Eyeshadow Base - After primer, I apply Jules More Than Makeup Evershadow Creme in "Bare" all over the lid. This is a very versatile product and can be used alone or used to layer other colors & textures. The gel formula is super easy to apply and is creaseless, waterproof and provides long-wear staying power. I like this to give a good base color to my lids and hid any redness or veins that may be showing. This creme comes in several colors, so be sure to check it out along with the other great products that JMTM has to offer.

MAC Shadows - These two colors are my favorite for an everyday neutral eye look - Left: MAC Eyeshadow in Soft Brown. Right: MAC eyeshadow in Blanc Type.

Favorite Eyeshadow Palette - Personally my favorite eyeshadow palette has to be the original Urban Decay Naked! Which one is your favorite?

Liner - I prefer to use a liquid black liner on top and I line my lower waterline with a white liner. I rarely use black liner on the bottom lash line because I think it makes my eyes look too small. Usually I smudge some brown eyeshadow on the lower lash line.

Brows - Anastasia Beverly Hills has probably the best brow pencils, and I use that pencil if I want a more dramatic look, but on a daily basis I use the Benefit Brow Gel in the color Medium/Deep. It's easy and fast. Luckily my brows are full naturally, so I don't have to do much work. The brow gel fills them in a little bit and holds them in place.

Mascara - Hands down the best mascara I've used is the Loreal Voluminous in Carbon Black.
